Meals are provided weekly, alternating at the following churches:

Services Provided:
- Works with Ohio Agency on Aging, Ohio Home Care Waiver programs, My Care Ohio, PASSPORT program to provide weekly meal delivery.
- Meal option for seniors, those homebound due to rehabilitation, disabilities, or a long-term illness—even families who are focused on a sick parent or child.
Check with your insurance company!
- Some insurance companies, such as Humana Medicare, will send meals to your home after a qualifying event such as hospitalization. Call the customer service number on the back of your insurance card to ask about any meal benefits.
- If you are currently a Medicare or Medicaid recipient, contact your plan to see if you are eligible to receive a home delivered meals benefit such as Mom’s Meals, even without hospitalization.

Food Assistance Program: The food provided will get you and your family by for about three days. The food items you will receive will be staples such as peanut butter, jelly, eggs, mac n’ cheese, cereal, hamburger, and hamburger helper. We serve everyone from low-income families, single parents, senior citizens, unemployed individuals, disabled veterans, working poor, and anyone else that comes to the pantry that needs. We serve everyone regardless of race, color, or religion.

Documentation required: ID for each adult in the household (driver’s license or state issued ID is acceptable)
The Food Pantry opens the 3rd Thursday of the month, for the food give out. You must be signed up to receive food that day. You may sign-up any Thursday (except the 3rd Thursday of the month) from 9:00 A.M. -11:00 A.M. at New Life. If this time is in conflict with a work schedule, please call us to make other arrangements.

Food Pantry, Meals, Groceries
Those in need across Coshocton, Ohio can get nutritious, hot meals or groceries from their nearest Salvation Army Service and Worship Center. We feed thousands daily, including the most vulnerable of our communities — underserved children in our after-school programs, forgotten friends at our homeless shelters, people looking to better their lives at our addiction recovery facilities, survivors rebuilding their lives after a disaster, domestic violence, and anti-human trafficking victims. Salvation Army food pantries provide groceries for families and individuals in need. Food is free, but some locations require appointments, others are on a walk-in first come first serve basis.

Frozen Food– Distributes frozen foods to seniors aged 60 and older who reside in Coshocton County. No application required;
first come, first served on day of distribution. This occurs monthly on the 3rd Wednesday of the month starting at 10:30. $2.00 contribution is suggested.
Produce Day– Fresh produce distributed to those aged 60 and older. This occurs monthly, on the 1st Tuesday of the month starting at 1PM. Free. No application required, first come/first served on day of distribution. Supplemental Nutrition – The Senior Center sponsors a food commodity program where eligible seniors may receive a 30 – 35 lb food box each month filled with cereal, juice, canned meats, fruits, and vegetables as well as other food staples. The commodity program does have income guidelines so please contact the center for more details.

Food Ministry Program:
Congregation donations and volunteers mostly fund the program. Food distribution is monthly: 1st Wednesday, 5:00 –7:30 pm- for boxed/canned foods and meat, 3rd Wednesday 5:00 – 7:30 pm-for produce distribution. Cost is free. Must qualify for eligibility. Bring drivers license and own bags.

Ohio Food Assistance Program (SNAP, Food Stamps):
- Provides monthly benefits to assist low-income households in purchasing the food they need to maintain adequate nutritional levels.
Ohio Commodity Supplemental Food Program:
- A federal nutrition assistance program that provides low-income, elderly individuals with a monthly box of food. The box does not contain a complete diet but provides nutrients typically lacking in the diets of the elderly population. It includes a variety of foods, such as cheese; nonfat dry and Ultra High Temperature (UHT) milk; juice; oats and ready-to-eat cereal; rice and pasta; peanut butter; dry beans or peas; canned meat, poultry or fish; and canned fruits and vegetables. All of Ohio’s 88 counties participate in CSFP.
Emergency Food Assistance Program:
- A Federal program that helps low-income people, including elderly people, by providing them with emergency food assistance at no cost though the Mid-Ohio Foodbank.

- Pregnant women

- Dads or any legal guardians are welcome to services as well up through child’s 5th birthday

Available Assistance:
The Coshocton County Veterans Service Commission will only grant assistance for what they consider to be the five necessities of
life. Those are Rent / Mortgage, Electric, Heat, Water, and Food. Applicants for assistance are eligible for assistance up to three times in a twelve-month period. They may also be eligible for emergency assistance once in a twelve-month period. Emergency assistance is limited to only one item of the five possible.
