Pulmonary Rehabilitation

For those dealing with a lung disease or recovering from lung surgery, the simple act of taking a breath can be challenging and painful. Pulmonary rehabilitation offered by Coshocton Regional Medical Center’s Respiratory Services can you improve the quality of life for those faced with chronic breathing problems.

Pulmonary rehabilitation can help those with conditions such as sarcoidosis, cystic fibrosis or Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), which includes emphysema, and chronic bronchitis, to help manage their condition to experience a better quality of life. Those who need lung surgery can also benefit from pulmonary rehab – both before and after the surgery.

The pulmonary rehab process is designed to specifically meet your individual needs, depending on the nature of your condition and your personal symptoms. Your therapist will work with you to determine your goals and design a personalized rehab plan that may include:

  • Breathing techniques

  • Nutritional counseling
