Hospital received ‘A’ rating in Fall of 2023 and Spring of 2024
Coshocton, Ohio (May 1, 2024) — Coshocton Regional Medical Center received an “A” grade in the Fall 2023 and now Spring 2024 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade, a national distinction recognizing Coshocton Regional Medical Center’s achievements in protecting patients from errors, injuries, accidents, and infections. Leapfrog assigns an “A,” “B,” “C,” “D” or “F” grade to general hospitals across the country based on over 30 measures of errors, accidents, injuries and infections as well as the systems hospitals have in place to prevent them.
“We are thrilled to announce that our facility has been awarded an ‘A’ Safety Grade twice in a row, a true testament to our unwavering commitment to patient safety” said Stephanie Conn, CEO. “Putting the patient first is at the core of everything we do. This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without our dedicated healthcare team’s hard work and dedication.”
Coshocton Regional Medical Center, a Fortune and IBM Watson Health Top 100 Hospital in 2021, adds this achievement to their recent Healthgrades Patient Safety Excellence Award in addition to being named among the Top 10% in the Nation for Patient Safety for 4 years in a row.
Over the last year, 81 percent of Prime’s hospitals earned an “A” rating from The Leapfrog Group. The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade is the only hospital ratings program focused exclusively on preventable medical errors, infections and injuries that kill more than 500 patients a day nationally. The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade is peer-reviewed, fully transparent and free to the public. Grades are updated twice annually, in the fall and spring.
