2nd & 4th Floor Inpatient Care

When you have an illness, injury or surgery, the first few days of care can make all the difference in helping you have the most positive outcome from your recovery. When your recovery requires a stay as an inpatient in our medical and surgical nursing units, you can count on compassionate, professional care from the Coshocton Regional Medical Center team of patient care staff.

4th Floor Medical/Surgical Unit

From the minute your team of skilled registered nurses welcomes you to your room, you’ll begin to understand that our nurses combine the skill of advanced training and certifications with the dedication to providing compassionate care, delivered in the comfortable surroundings of our community hospital. The complexity of med-surg training provides our nurses with the skills to oversee the care of many levels of care, from post-surgical care to medical care for the variety of illnesses that require the specialized care only a hospital can provide. Our nurses and support staff share a commitment to your comfort by creating a healing environment focused on your recovery.

2nd Floor Surgery

The skill of the Coshocton Regional Medical Center’s Surgery Teams is combined with the technical efficiency of our three operating rooms to provide an excellent patient experience when surgery is needed. We offer a wide range of surgical procedures provided by specialists in:

  • General surgery
  • Orthopedic surgery
  • Ophthalmology
  • Gynecology
  • Urogynecology
  • Pain Management
  • Podiatry

Many surgical procedures can now be done on an outpatient basis, allowing you to recover in the comfort of your own home. Before your surgery and while you’re recovery for your outpatient procedure, our specialized team of surgical nurses will care for you and monitor your recovery. For other surgeries, inpatient care on the 4th floor med/surg unit is more appropriate, and you’ll be released from the recovery room to the skilled care of our 4th floor staff.

When specialized care is required for patients recovering from joint replacements or other orthopaedic procedures, you will remain in our patient care rooms on the 2nd floor, in rooms best equipped for post-surgical orthopedic care. Here you’ll begin your recovery with the help of trained nursing and physical therapy staff, dedicated to helping you return to your active lifestyle following your knee or hip replacement or joint repair.

Patient-designed Care

With a broad range of skills needed to help patients admitted for either medical or post-surgical care, the nursing staff reports to your physician or hospitalist any changes in your condition and can help you with questions about your care. They are a critical part of your team that also includes:

We also consider your loved ones an important part of your care team, and encourage you to include them in your care plan. If you have questions about your care or our inpatient services, please talk with your nurse or hospitalist physician. You’ll find your entire care staff – from physicians and nurses to support staff – is here to make your health care experience the very best it can be.
